Couples Workshops

Couples Workshops

Heal old wounds, build a strong foundation, and experience compassionate, loving connection.

Couples workshops are a fun, supportive, and eye-opening way to understand and shift the negative patterns couples almost universally experience.

Couples Therapy Workshops are held in a safe, supportive group setting and led by expert, approachable therapists and trusted, trained assistants. These workshops provide new tools to support every stage of a relationship — from new couples building a strong foundation to marriages in crisis, those looking for a revived connection, and everyone in between.

Master therapist, teacher, and guide Lori Marchak guides couples in learning to understand and shift negative behavior patterns.

With profound truth, patience, and compassion, we can heal wounds that burden hearts and confuse communication — creating a safe place for intentional love of ourselves and each other.

  • Discover, chart, and shift negative patterns that undermine your relationship potential.

  • Learn to view negative emotions and behaviors — your own and your partner’s — with compassion and healing rather than disappointment and judgment.

  • Repair past emotional injuries that time alone cannot heal.

  • Create positive patterns of mutual support and comfort through physical and emotional connection.

"This workshop saved our marriage. Set all your apprehensions aside — you'll drop them all as soon as Lori and Tony begin."

Are Couples Workshops the right choice?

Deepen, heal, and strengthen your relationship

Our closest relationships hold the key to our happiness. It’s in these relationships that we are most impacted by others, and we impact others the most. It’s also here that we experience the most pain from natural patterns of conflict and isolation, and we’re most motivated to rise above and transform them.

Our couples workshops offer a successful and meaningful path to relational clarity, compassion, and confidence, creating positive ripples through all aspects of life, work, and relationships.

Is a Couples Workshop Right for You?
  • Do you argue about the same things over and over again? Most couples do! We will help you shift those patterns and conversations, so you can enjoy a stable and increasingly happy, meaningful connection.
  • This two-day weekend will give you deep insights and new tools, empowering a dramatic improvement in the intimacy and security you and your partner experience in your relationship.

Our workshops are based on  Sue Johnson’s powerful yet approachable Hold Me Tight® format. Hold Me Tight is a registered trademark of  Sue Johnson.

A workshop can help couples who...
  • Are in distress, or doing reasonably well
  • Newly together, or longtime partners
  • Straight, gay, or queer
  • Married or unmarried
  • Are currently in couples counseling, or interested in getting started

The best time to work on your relationship is now!

What to Expect

TBD

Couples Workshops are not for you if...

A couples workshop is not likely to be helpful when there are significant, active struggles with addictions; untreated post-traumatic stress; psychosis; threats of suicide; or danger to harm others.

In these cases, please call Lori for a consultation. An individual intensive may be appropriate as an entry to couples work.

Upcoming Workshops

Our Spring 2021 Seasons are cancelled due to Covid-19.
As an alternative, we recommend this low-cost, on-line workshop from Dr. Sue Johnson herself.
